Membership and reservations at the Regent Taipei Hotel
Membership type: Platinum Elite.
I did some research and checked with members here which hotel I should stay in Taipei. Thanks to those who helped answer my question a few months back. As I had many points and was undecided at that point, I booked rooms in both Kimpton and Regent. With a recent 15% reward night promotion, I managed to rebook the Regent Hotel basic room for only 92,650 points for 3 nights. Children under 12 with no need for an extra bed stay for free, but breakfast is chargeable at 15% off. You can use F&B rewards on the spend.
Suite Upgrade and Check-In
I applied the confirmed suite upgrade reward and was promptly upgraded to the Junior King Suite. When I checked in, I was even given a bag of toiletries as a gift and daily replenishment of fruits and water.
Lounge Access and Breakfast
I have lounge access, hence the stay came with breakfast for 2, and the breakfast spread is awesome!
One of the best I have seen so far. International breakfast is served from 6.30-10 am.
The lounge is very well stocked with drinks, food, and snacks. If you are there in the evening, you will have proper food to fill your stomach.
The lounge team will ask to see your lounge access pass, but the service is good.
Location
The hotel is about a 17-minute walk to the popular Ningxia night market and is near a Metro station.
Overall Experience
Family of 3, happy with our stay.
