Intercontinental Paris-Le Grand (Ambassador Platinum and amenity review, 3 night stay with one night covered by ambassador free night cert).
Excellent experience! Stayed late September 2023. Front desk acknowledged platinum ambassador elite status immediately and profusely at check in. We booked a one-bedroom balcony suite (no view) with cash. Paid for 2 nights and got 3rd free with ambassador weekend night cert. The hotel was almost sold out (Fashion week), but we were upgraded at check-in to the Opera Suite (one of the 4 presidential) that had a wrap-around balcony and view of the opera house (if you look at the picture of the front of the hotel, where it says “Le Grand Hotel” on the top floor, that entire 3 window balcony was our room). Absolutely magnificent! Front desk then sent up an entire coffee tables worth of amenities (including champagne, macarons, drinks, fruit and chocolate—see photo) and General Manager even called personally to make sure we were satisfied.
YMMV on the upgrade (pretty sure we got upgraded because the hotel was so full and there were no ambassador suites available) but I got the impression that the welcome amenity might be standard (I saw room service bringing the same assortment to other rooms, but again YMMV).
Overall the hotel was clean, elegant and I really felt extremely taken care of. Excellent location right next to the metro. Would absolutely go out of my way to stay at IC Le Grand when I’m Paris again.
