United Airlines holds promotions with award flights for the week “A week of surprise flight deals”. Every day, Monday through Friday, check the United app or sign up for text messages and discover a fare sale to different countries.
The offer will run from July 29 to August 2, 2024. United Airlines has changed the start date of the offer. The offer is now valid from August 5, 2024.
How does it work?
Earlier this year, a similar offer was available from January 8 to 12, 2024.
The sale was exclusive to MileagePlus frequent flyer members, allowing them to purchase round-trip tickets from the United States to unexpected international destinations for as low as 50,000 miles (plus taxes and fees starting at $194.60).
To take advantage of the discounted fares, travelers needed to log in to their United MileagePlus account, select their departure city and announced surprise destination, enter their travel dates, and click submit – the fares were automatically discounted in the system.
There were no date restrictions, but travelers had to start and end their trip between January 10 and March 20, 2024.
