Well, this new offer could save you 40% on your accommodation. Here’s what you can redeem if you were chosen for the promotion.
Get $120 When You Spend $300
AmEx is offering a $120 statement credit when you spend at least $300 on booking a stay at eligible Marriott properties. You can meet the requirement with your room rate and room charges during your stay. The one-time credit offer is valid until July 31, 2023, so make your booking before—you do not have to complete your stay before the end of the period to get your credit.
Only select Marriott properties qualify for the credits. It’s valid only for stays in the US, Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean. It excludes rooms booked at the following Marriott brands: Homes & Villas by Marriott International, Marriott Vacation Club, Marriott Executive Apartments, Design Hotels, Protea Hotels, and Vistana.
Booking with Bonvoy Credit Cards
Any American Express cardholders can be selected for the targeted offer, including holders of Marriott’s co-branded credit cards—Marriott Bonvoy Bevy and the Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant. These cardholders will also benefit from card perks when making their reservations with them. Each gives Bonvoy points for spending at Marriott properties, so it’s a great way to earn points while spending your way to getting the statement credit. Here’s an idea of what you can earn:

The difference in points earned is because each credit card gives elite status, which earned point bonuses on spending. The Marriott Bonvoy Bevy card gives cardholders complimentary Gold Elite status to get 25% more points on bookings, and the Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant card gives complimentary Platinum status for 50% more points earned on bookings.
Activating the Offer
Cardholders must activate the promo offer before making their reservations to receive the statement credit. Since it’s a targeted offer, not everyone will have it. Here’s how to check to see if you were targeted for the promo and how to activate the offer on your card.
- Login to your American Express account (including Marriott Bonvoy Bevy and Brilliant credit cardholders)
- Click on the tab for Amex Offers & Benefits
- Browse for the offer and click ‘Add to Card’ (must be activated on the card you’ll use for making your reservations)
- Making reservations on https://www.marriott.com/
If you do not see the offer available in your account, sadly, you weren’t selected for the promotion. AmEx frequently releases new offers for Marriott Bonvoy, so check the offers page often to snag one of the upcoming offers.
