JetBlue Airways is revamping its TrueBlue Mosaic program in 2025, introducing both new benefits and certain restrictions for its elite members.

Namely, we are waiting for them:

  • Restrictions on Blue Basic fares
  • Opening of lounges
  • Changes to the Move to Mint upgrade certificates for Mosaic 4 members
  • Cancellation of Blade helicopter transfers

Let’s take a closer look at each of these changes.

Introduction of JetBlue lounges

JetBlue is set to launch its inaugural airport lounges, with the first opening at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) Terminal 5 in late 2025, followed by a second at Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) Terminal C.

Complimentary Lounge Access

The following customers will enjoy free entry to these lounges:

Holders of JetBlue’s Upcoming Premium Credit Card: Details about this new card will be announced soon.

TrueBlue Mosaic 4 Members: The highest tier in JetBlue’s loyalty program.

Transatlantic Mint Customers: Passengers flying in JetBlue’s premium Mint cabin on transatlantic routes.

Additionally, both Mosaic 4 members and premium credit cardholders can bring one guest into the lounge at no extra cost.

So far, we know almost nothing about the new JetBlue premium card, except that the details will be announced soon, we’ll wait!

Paid Access Options

JetBlue will offer several paid access options to accommodate a broader range of travelers:

Day Passes and Guest Passes: Available for purchase by eligible customers, subject to space availability.

Annual Passes: All customers will have the opportunity to buy an annual pass, granting lounge access throughout the year.

Changes in obtaining Move to Mint certificates

Currently, Mosaic 3 members receive four Move to Mint certificates after earning 150 tiles, and Mosaic 4 members receive an additional two certificates for 250 tiles.

Starting in 2025, Mosaic 4 members will receive 2 additional Move to Mint certificates for every 100 tiles earned beyond the initial 250, with no cap. In addition, the certificates will only need to be booked before they expire, allowing for travel at a later date.

Starting from March, 2025, Mosaic members traveling on Blue Basic fares will no longer be eligible for

– Free seats in Even More Space class.

– Free seat change in the cabin.

– Same day flight change.

These changes encourage members to choose higher fare classes to take advantage of their elite privileges.

Terms and conditions

Blue Basic fares booked on or after Mar 18, 2024 are not eligible for same-day switches or same-day standby. Blue Basic fares booked before Mar 18, 2024 are eligible for same-day switches or same-day standby with a $75 fee.  Mosaic members may continue to make same-day switches or fly same-day standby at no extra charge on all fares (including Blue Basic, until February 28, 2025) starting 24 hours prior to departure without paying a fare difference or the applicable fee.

Terms and conditions

Mosaic 1 members can select Even More® Space for free at check-in and Mosaic 2, 3 and 4 members can select Even More® Space for free at time of booking (pending availability), excluding Blue Basic fares starting March 1, 2025.>

Termination of Blade Airport transfers

The partnership that offers Mosaic 4 members four complimentary Blade helicopter transfers between Manhattan and either JFK or Newark airports will end in 2025. Members with existing Blade credits that expire in 2025 should transfer them to their Blade accounts by December 31, 2024 to avoid losing them.

Conclusion

JetBlue’s Mosaic program updates in 2025 reflect a strategic shift toward enhanced premium services, including the introduction of exclusive lounges. While Mosaic 4 members will receive significant new perks, such as expanded access to Move to Mint upgrades and lounges, they will also face new restrictions, including the elimination of Blue Basic fare benefits and the discontinuation of Blade shuttle service. Members are advised to familiarize themselves with these changes to take full advantage of the program’s offerings next year.
